Halloween Safe Street

Posted on November 3rd, 2010 by Around The River

There is a unique way to Trick-or-Treat in Laughlin, Nevada. On All Hallow’s Eve, from 5:00 to 8:00pm, children age 13 and under attend Halloween Safe Street on the River Walk between the Edgewater and Colorado Belle Hotel/Casinos.

Ghoulish decorations adorn the ground-level patios, and hotel guests (local merchants) distribute massive amounts of candy.

If you park at the Regency, stop at the gift shop for a treat. One year we received blinking ghost necklaces.

This year we arrived with our children at 4:30pm, earlier than the official start time, and all but a couple of booths were able to accomodate us. We hit those on our way out, and had half-full goody bags and fully satisfied super heros by 5:20pm.

The Chili’s across the river in Bullhead City, Arizona was offering Free Kids Meals with the purchase of entrees. Not only was dinner delicious, it was affordable.

Join the celebrations next year. You won’t be disappointed!
